Haymarket Museum News

October 2011 - The Haymarket Museum will be used as an in-person absentee voting location during October and will therefore be closed to the public on three Sundays: October 16, October 23, and October 30. Read more about the voting schedule here.

  

March 2011 - The Haymarket Museum building, known as the Old Town Hall and School, is now officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Read the announcement of new listings here (scroll down to Virginia). Read about the National Register of Historic Places here.

  

February 2011 - The Haymarket Museum was featured in the February 4, 2011 edition of the Bull Run Observer. The story describes some of the highlights of the Museum website, such as Alice "Miss Maude" Ewell's page and the Haymarket Pharmacy page. Read the article here (pdf) or here (jpg).

  

December 2010 - The Haymarket Museum Building (also known as the Old Town Hall) was placed on the Virginia Department of Historic Resources Virginia Landmarks Register. Read the press release here. Read the registration form here. The next step, to be announced within the next month or two, is inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.
